Silly me, I tuned in to watch the game.
Suzan and I were pretty tired Sunday night (late Saturday night + late lunch + unexpected horse care trip), and we finally turned on “the game” in the 2nd quarter. When halftime came along, we muted the television and did some housework. We came back to watch the rest of what turned out to be an excellent football game.
Imagine my surprise when I heard about the mammary gland incident. I knew that MTV was not the company you went to anything music related, after all they don’t have time for music videos in between all of the “reality programming” and ‘Rock The Vote’ commercials. I don’t object to people voting, I would prefer that they take time away from following the sex life of Jessica Simpson to learn some basic civics & economics before pulling the lever in November.
Anyway, everybody’s all upset because Janet had a breast pop out on stage. Very few people are upset with the simulated sex, American flag turned into a poncho or the cadre of rappers grabbing their crotch during the performance.
“blah, blah, blah … “
are they still there … yes, still there … keep rappin’
“gansta, gansta, gansta … pimp, pimp, pimp”
Forget retired football coaches, these rappers need to get sponsored by the new impotence drugs. They are so concerned about the status of their phallus, they constantly check to make sure it doesn’t fall off while they’re on stage.
I’m more upset that such a good football game got overshadowed by a lame halftime show. The Super Bowl halftime show hasn’t been interesting or relevant for decades. Bad magic tricks, aging pop stars, strange combinations of rappers & rock stars, performances with more lipsynching than a MilliVanilli behind-the-scenes documentary … show organizers have made everybody mad by trying to please everybody.
AOL must really regret their sponsorship of the halftime show … although they could do a great tie-in to their internet service.
AOL parental controls make sure your kids can’t download pictures of our Super Bowl halftime show.
At least people will stop talking about Georgia’s educational system for a few days. Homeschool, sweet homeschool …
