Yes, Atlanta had it’s one obligatory day of winter … the great ice storm media event of January 2005. We didn’t leave the house on Saturday, allowing others to discover the frictionless wonders of trying to drive on 1/2″ of packed sleet. We managed not to loose any trees, and the goats managed not to become goat-sicles.
We lost power for about 8 hours overnight, which made it hard to finish watching Goldeneye. Suzan and I stayed under the blankets for a while this morning, although it didn’t get that cold in the house (the new house is much better insulated than the old one). After the world got above 32 degrees, we went out for groceries (the fridge, she was bare).
Pictures will be in the gallery soon. Suzan finally took her Canon Digital Rebel for a drive today, so we just got around to installing the software on my computer.
