Friday is a Comedy Goldmine

Bank failures, gas crisis, bad TV … it’s just so easy to laugh at the world right now. In case you’re not following me on Twitter, here’s what’s been in my comedic landscape before 10:30am today:

  • Sat in my first gas line. Welcome to the 1970’s!
  • I bought gas at a grocery store, then bought coffee at the gas station. What’s next, the government owning my morgtage?
  • News Radio 750AM in Atlanta is reporting the collapse of Washington Mutual. The traffic reports on 750AM are sponsored by Washington Mutual, who is still advertizing for new accounts. Radio host Neal Boortz was asking of WaMu was goign to be able to pay for the ads.
  • Geof wonders if this the WaMu collapse paves the way for WuTang Financial. If they use their bling as collateral, they’ll be on the gold standard. Ron Paul represent!
  • The new Knight Rider TV show should just be retitled MST3KITT. It’s that bad, and making fun of it seems to be the only reason to watch it.

Keep in mind it’s only 10:30am, and I will not suspend my blogging due to any financial crisis. It’s going to be an interesting Friday.

I sat in my first gas line yesterday too. That was after making a bunch of phone calls to find out which station actually had gas.
