Yes, I’m off for another international business trip. That’s nothing new. But for this trip, I get a change of scenery.
Instead of my usual trips to Taiwan, Seattle and Portland, this time I get two weeks in France. I used to go to Germany at my last job, but somehow missed out on France as a business destination.
No, it’s not a vacation. I still have to work when I arrive, and I am being trained on new software that is a bit outside of my expertise. But I get to connect with a new set of coworkers in a country I haven’t visited since I was eighteen. I also get to spend most of time in Nantes, a city I didn’t visit on that family vacation.
New software in a new place. Sounds like a bit of an adventure.
