Lunch with Asai last week was a good discussion of life, the universe, cell phones and rodents. I’ll just focus on the rodent discussion in this post. By rodents, I mean rats … as in The Year of the Rat.
I’ve never really been into astrology, especially since I fall through the gaps of western astrology. Chinese astrology doesn’t completely fit me either, but my friend Asai knows enough about it to make a compelling argument for why it might matter this year.
Apparently I’m a “water rat” (not the drowning type, just some other type of astrological Chinese space rat), and this is the year of the “earth rat” … and somehow that is good for me.
Maybe the stars and their space rats like me this year, maybe they don’t care … but I have been feeling like this is a good year for me. 2007 was very, very rough on the Richardson household, but things have been looking up. Life and my attitude towards it have been improving.
How I will proceed through 2008 is still up in the air. Perhaps the rats will stop stealing my cheese and help me out a little.
