Friday is my last day in the office for a while. I fly to Las Vegas tomorrow in preparation for Comdex 2001. It won’t be the glorious Comdex of old … the show isn’t as important anymore, and the weak economy will have a small impact. I’ll just have to manage the tradeshow without toting my laptop everywhere.
I am missing a wondergeek gathering this weekend … which makes me a bit sad …
But that is balanced with spending the wekeend in Sin City with my wife. We’re going to Blue Man Group on Saturday night, along with visiting the rest of the painfully overdecorated city. I hope to make it to the Star Trek Experience before Monday rolls around.
The next week won’t be as fancy … I’m going to Jackson, Mississippi for business. Somehow we managed to find a computer company in Jackson (go figure). But I’m not flying straight to Jackson because last-minute tickets are too expensive. It costs about $700 to fly from Atlanta to Jackson … the same as it would cost for me to go to Tokyo (no, I’m not joking). So I’m flying to Gulfport and driving to Jackson, because it only costs $155 to fly Delta to Gulfport.
The things I do for my company …
